The short version: the tools on this site run inside your browser. We do not want your tool data, and we have built the site so that we cannot have it. The parts of the site that do collect data — analytics, advertising — are disclosed below, along with how to opt out.
1. Who we are
The Simple Toolbox ("the site", "we", "us") is operated by Alamzeb Khan from Spring, Texas, USA. For any privacy question, email privacy@thesimpletoolbox.com. 2. Client-side tools: what stays on your device
Every calculator, converter, formatter, and generator on thesimpletoolbox.com runs as JavaScript inside your browser. Your inputs — budgets, source code, file contents, form values, image data — are processed on your device. They are not transmitted to our servers, because our servers do not run the calculator. You can verify this in your browser's DevTools → Network tab while using any tool.
Some tools use your browser's Local Storage or IndexedDB to remember your preferences or last input between sessions. This data never leaves your device. You can delete it at any time via your browser's "clear site data" setting.
3. What we DO collect
3.1 Aggregate analytics (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-W3S95M7581) loaded via a Partytown web worker to understand overall traffic patterns: total page views, referrer domains, aggregate country-level geography, device type, and which tools get used most. We use this to decide which tools to improve next.
Google Analytics may set the following first-party cookies on thesimpletoolbox.com:
_ga— distinguishes anonymous users. Expires after 2 years._ga_W3S95M7581— stores the session state. Expires after 2 years.
Google's handling of this data is governed by their Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across the web by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser settings.
3.2 Contact form submissions
When you submit the contact form, the name, email address, subject, and message you provide are sent to a Cloudflare function, which forwards the message to the site operator's inbox. The originating IP address is not stored. Submissions are retained only for as long as needed to reply and are deleted or archived from the inbox after resolution.
3.3 Newsletter (opt-in)
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store the email address you provide plus the subscribe timestamp. The email is used only to send newsletter editions. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every newsletter, or by emailing privacy@thesimpletoolbox.com. On unsubscribe, the address is deleted from our list.
4. Third-party advertising: Google AdSense
This site is a Google AdSense publisher (publisher ID ca-pub-6678455174573130). Once approved, AdSense-served ads may appear on tool pages, blog posts, and other page types. AdSense is operated by Google LLC, which sets and reads its own cookies to serve, cap, and measure ads.
4.1 What AdSense and its partners may do

No cookies are set for the purpose of running the tools themselves. You can clear or block any cookie from your browser settings without breaking tool functionality.
6. Your rights
6.1 EU / UK residents (GDPR, UK GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, request correction or deletion, object to processing, request data portability, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@thesimpletoolbox.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
6.2 California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of that information, opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information. "Sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising is covered by the Google AdSense disclosure in Section 4; use the opt-out links listed there to disable that sharing. To submit a CCPA request, email privacy@thesimpletoolbox.com with the subject line "CCPA request".
6.3 Other US states
Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and other US states with comprehensive privacy laws may exercise similar rights by emailing privacy@thesimpletoolbox.com.
7. Children's privacy (COPPA)
The Simple Toolbox is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has submitted personal information through the site, email privacy@thesimpletoolbox.com and we will delete it.
8. Data security
Because the tools themselves run client-side, there is no tool input stored on our systems to secure. For the limited data we do receive (contact messages, newsletter signups), we rely on the security of our service providers (Cloudflare, Resend, Google). We do not transmit personal information over unencrypted channels; the site is served over HTTPS with HSTS enforcement.
9. Data retention
- Contact messages: retained only as long as needed to reply; typically archived or deleted within 12 months.
- Newsletter list: retained until you unsubscribe; deleted on unsubscribe.
- Analytics aggregates: retained per Google Analytics 4's default retention (currently 2 months to 14 months depending on data type, per Google's settings).
- Tool inputs: never stored.
10. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when we change how data is handled — for example, if we add a new third-party service, change cookie behavior, or adjust retention windows. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page changes whenever the policy is materially revised. Material changes will also be noted on the site's changelog.
